Super Plot hole: Dr. Malcom Crowe is revealed at the end of the movie to be dead. This makes for an interesting and surprising ending, although it doesn’t work with the movie’s universe.

How could Crowe not know he was dead ?  He had a bullet hole in his stomach (all dead people in the movie are shown with their injuries) and no one EVER talked to him for months. Not just his wife, but everyone. It becomes even more interesting when you try to consider how he even got his assignment to help the little Cole to begin with.
